In the message personally signed by the Chairman of Owo North-West LCDA , Emure-Ile, Chief (Barr.) Alaba Eniola-Ajipe on behalf of all the Staff and Management of the LCDA, he congratulates Ogwaluwaye , Olowo Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, the current Chairman, Council of Obas, Ondo State and the entire good people of Owo Kingdom at home and in diaspora on this year's Igogo Festival tagged #igogo2025 while urging the good people of the town to be their brother's keepers throughout the period of the festival.
The letter received by Abejoye Media News reads in part:
" Your Imperial Majesty, on behalf of myself and the entire staff and management of Owo North-West LCDA, Emure-Ile here, I wish to congratulate you and ,in particular ,the Ighare Iloro, Ayoyo , Edibo Ologho and the entire illustrious sons and daughters of Owo Kingdom home and abroad as well as all residents of the town on the celebration of the 2025 edition of the annual Igogo Festival of Love. "
" Okun Arabaribi, Igogo Festival remains a cherished ,formidable and rich cultural heritage of Owo people and an African notch with an international recognition , that has consistently brought Owo Kingdom to a limelight and conveniently placed her on the pedestal of prestige and greatness among the comity of towns in Nigeria . It is also a yearly celebration of Owo history and the customs and traditions of the entire Yoruba Nation by promoting the rich cultural values of Owo and the revered stool of Olowo in commemoration of Queen Oroshen, one of the beautiful Queens of Olowo Rerengenjen ( 1430 Circa) who is respected for her rare devotion ,treasures and virtues .
"Your Majesty, your Ascension to the Throne of your forebears has added more numerous values to the Igogo Festival as your connection within the kingdom and your influence beyond Ondo State have made the festival a world class celebration with lots of modernity, fresh Initiatives and treasured innovations. This is heartwarming no doubt."
Ajipe nevertheless passionately urges the indigene of Owo Kingdom to celebrate this year's Igogo Festival with the candour it deserves but with caution and moderation considering the quality, purposeful and forthright leadership of Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye lll and his welfare programs for his subjects since his Ascension to the Throne especially the peace and tranquility now enjoyed ; harmony and oneness now fostered and the growth and progress ushered in into the kingdom in the last six years. " I therefore call on the youths in the kingdom, the women folks and the non-indigene to celebrate this year's Igogo Festival in peace and with respect for the prevailing peace and harmony in the land that must be genuinely guided and preserved. "
" It is heartwarming Kabiyesi that your peaceful leadership style and administrative prowess within and beyond the Kingdom especially in the Sunshine State have singled you out for a worthy recognition as Chairman, Ondo State Council of Oba recently and as Chancellor, Federal University of Science and Technology, Babura ,Jigawa State among other distinctions. Therefore, these opportunities shall add beauty to this year's Igogo Festiva judging from your social influence, cultural values and personality characters of integrity and dignity l. "
It's imperative for all the Chiefs and illustrious sons and daughters of Owo Kingdom therefore to continue to support the mission and visions of Ogwaluwaye while commending them for their previous support so far to make Owo the cynosure of all eyes. " Your consistent support for the Stool of Olowo is evidently seen all over the kingdom. In unity we are stronger but in division we are weaker as it is a fact that any house that divides against itself cannot stand. Kabiyesi Olowo cannot do it alone without your valuable advice, genuine support/encouragement , huge contributions in all ramifications and your ceaseless prayers. Long may we reign with Kabiyesi (Awa a b'Ologho je pe o. Ase! )"
The LCDA Boss also uses the occasion to call on all great indigene of Owo, home and abroad to always come home to massively invest in the town so as to provide skills and job opportunities for our teeming youths and empowerment for our women folks. "With the leadership quality of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye lll, Owo is now a new bride to behold and a home for all with the ongoing unabated war against insecurity challenges , gangsterism, hooliganism and similar crimes in the town and suburban communities through genuine collaboration with our Kabiyesis, our great ambassadors and the government. "
